Like much of the Hunter's engineering community, Total Machine's branding was in desperate need of an update. Plagued by a logo made in 1997's Microsoft Word, Total Machine turned to me to for this update. The brief I was given merely consisted of the desired colour scheme (blue & grey).
Simplicity was a key to the rebranding design process. I modified the Gill Sans font to make it slightly softer. This is particularly evident in the t's of "total". The terms underneath were included late in the process as total machine wished to push these particular aspects of their business moving into the future.
